Method
Fascinating for me is the working, almost playing, with colour. I have no preconceived plan when I start a painting, but follow what is happening on the canvas and so the work develops itself. I make my paintings with acrylic or transparent coloured paint. The contrast between the two types of work is striking . In the acrylic work I use more often soft pastels . In working with transparent paint , the colors are bright and strong . Both styles of working are part of myself, the soft and cozy as well as the pronounced.
The basis of transparent paint paintings is gold or silver powder and gold or silver leaf . By then continuing to build the canvas with intensely colored , transparent paint colors come to their best advantage.
Generally I paint non- figurative and is a cloth intuitively created . Nature and landscape are an important source of inspiration for me. My way of working creates surprising effects and depths in the canvas Everyone who looks at my paintings therefore has his or her very own experience. And people often discover something in my work that I have not seen and for me that's added value too.
